Not too far from home ... check ! Less than 100m from a right of way ... check ! A handy geocache to dip the hashscot's trackable ... check ! I planned to drive over early evening and have a go.

Expedition

Parked handily at the sports ground car park, a cricket match was in progress, but the hashpoint was on the opposite side of the footpath in the field. I walked along the path, and got within about 60m of the point, but I suppose predictably for farmland bordering a playing field where lots of children play, there was a secure, gap free fence, with barbed wire wrapped around the top rails, and the same at the metal gate. I was just taking a photo towards the hash when BOOM ! What the ... some idiot is letting off fireworks in broad daylight in a back garden very near by ... three rockets bang loudly and twinkle feebly against the sunshine .

Oh, I get it , 4th of July . I'll not have trouble recalling the date of my first hash fail will I ?
