There was light drizzle all evening. I arrived where I had hoped to pull off the road to get a good picture and found it gated. I headed to the next u-turn, then back towards the hash point. Shoulders are for emergency stopping, not tourism, so I headed back to the main entrance of the amphitheater. The closest I could get in the parking lot without a lot of walking (I'm REALLY lazy, and it's still raining) wasn't nearly as close as I hoped. I snapped a long-distance photo on my phone, then left to complete a couple errands.
