On a path in Bovenkarspel, North Holland province.

Expedition
Determined to break my streak of failures, I set out in the morning to this point in Bovenkarspel. It appeared to be on a path between sports facilities, with a car park right next to it. The entrance to the car park was located along a street named "De Gouw", which means "The Shire", but I didn't spot any hobbits there. I managed to locate the hashpath, but it turned out to be on private property, with a locked fence to keep me out. I had no choice but to accept yet another failure. I then got back in the hashmobile and drove to the Zuiderzee Museum in Enkhuizen. This is a huge facility that tries to capture the culture of the cities around the Zuiderzee (a bay of the North Sea) before it was dammed off and turned into the IJsselmeer (a freshwater lake). It's a really impressive place, which I might never have visited if it wasn't for this hash.
