Looks nice so far. IMO you should cut "Location By Date" and also replace the static list in "Local Geohashers" with a link to the dynamic [[Category:Geohashers_in_-33%2C151|category page]] - and encourage everyone to add the ASG template.

It looks good - much cleaner than the current layout. I think you should set a date at which you will change it unless any objections are raised. --[[User:Shady|Shady]] 20:57, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

It's really clear, but is the picture of the Opera House really necessary?<br>

As well as that, is there a way for it to detect if the geohash spot is in the ocean, and if so automatically redirect us to the Blue Mountains graticule? --[[User:rikkyc|rikkyc]] 09:18, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

:re - Opera House - The picture certainly isn't necessary, but I thought it was a nice way to <nowiki>'identify'</nowiki> ourselves as Sydney. I'm certainly happy to consider another picture if people think the Opera House is too cliche, or in fact remove it all together if that's what people would prefer. --[[User:CJ|CJ]] 01:19, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

:re - Ocean hashpoints - I've been doing a bit of searching and came across [[Implementations#Alternative_geohash_location_suggester|this implementation]] which detects if the hash point is located in the ocean, and automatically suggests an alternative. I trialled it with this Sunday's point (which falls in the ocean), and it automatically suggested the Blue Mountains graticule point as the alternative - ie it does '''exactly''' what we want it to. I now have to figure out how to work it into our page (if anyone has the technical know-how, please help!) --[[User:CJ|CJ]] 01:28, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

re - Ocean hashpoints - I've been doing a bit of searching and came across this implementation which detects if the hash point is located in the ocean, and automatically suggests an alternative.
