This graticule is located at 51,-79, on the southeastern shore of James Bay. It straddles the Ontario-Québec border and also contains the southern half of Charlton Island, the tip of Carey Island, and all of Danby Island and Jacob Island, in Nunavut. There are no settled places in this graticule, so it is named for the large bay on the Ontario side, and the bird sanctuary there. Today's location
