This was within adult biking distance from our house, or even within adult walking distance if one had had several hours to spare, but it wasn't within preschooler biking or walking distance, so we drove.

On the ride from school to the hashpoint, my son held the GPS the whole time and read off the numbers to me as the distance decreased. This was exciting for me because last summer when we started geohashing, he couldn't have done that.

The hash was inside or behind this house. My son went up to the door in an effort to avoid being photographed.
On the way home we visited Windsor Locks Canal Trail State Park, just a few km from the hashpoint, where we enjoyed walking in the woods for a few minutes. This is the Connecticut River.
Also Windsor Locks Canal Trail State Park. Not only did I attempt two consecutive hashes within a few km of the Connecticut River, but also both of the hashpoints were within a few km of canals on the Connecticut River.
