[[User:T3h Ub3r K1tten|Michael]] had read about Geohashing on the xkcd blog, and contacted Grant asking him if he wanted to attempt the nearest location. It was relatively far away, but we decided to go for it anyways. We gathered two more victims, Marvin and Jonathan, before setting out. Our ride there was uneventful, although several Pony videos were watched and crude jokes made. We arrived at the gates of the storage facility to find it deserted, and unfortunately the camera had been left in another car accidentally (we even had a tripod!). Michael downloaded an app instead to his Droid X to take a timed photo, which was attached to Grant's car using a car dock and somehow worked out to take a mediocre quality picture. Resigned, we returned home.

Location

The hash was located in a self-storage facility in Wylie, Texas. From the map it looks like the exact location was just inside a storage bin.

Participants

Plans

We saw that the actual hash location was in the storage facility, but we hoped that there might be a night guard or some other visitor who could help us gain access and get near the point.

Expedition

Michael had read about Geohashing on the xkcd blog, and contacted Grant asking him if he wanted to attempt the nearest location.
