This achievement was proposed in the past, but has been rejected, because no ribbons are given for actions which should be self-evident. Please read the discussion page for more details.

As per the page proposed achievements: If an achievement has strong opposition and the reasons for opposition are not resolved through discussion, then the proposed achievements category is replaced with the rejected achievements category, the reason explained succinctly on the page, and the page otherwise marked to make sure it isn't confused with an achievements page.

This is perfect.

You go on a hunt for the geohash and enroute (or there) meet people, do things, give strangers rides or talk to them or whatever makes their day different in some way.

And that would not have happened had you not been out seeking some random point in the world, when otherwise you would have been home in the bath or whatever.

Not sure the name is right. Maybe "geokarma" or something? And extra points if you actually get their name/cell number/email whatever and they tell you (later) that you DID make a difference.
