I have been checking Craigslist, and noticed that there seems to be a difference between automotive and sporting GPS devices. How do you tell? For example, is this[[http://sacramento.craigslist.org/ele/3188628624.html]] what I would need?

Haha after yesterday's phone fail, I really want one. However, I am on a student budget. Do you know of any good models that are cheap? I found a used TomTom for $20, but isn't there a difference between the GPS units for cars and the ones that we need for geohashing?
