The Expedition
Taking advantage of another sunny Sunday afternoon in Manchester, we decided to go on an expedition to the geohash, which was located not too far from home in Bowden. we reached the geohash with very little difficulty. The location was close to a public footpath which ran alongside the field, and the barbed wire fence was low enough to step over with little difficulty. We did get a few strange looks from dog walkers while side stepping across a field to get as close to the hash as possible, but it was a quick and easy one to log.
Before heading home we checked for local geocaches, and decided to head towards Dunham Massey Park, which looked to be home to a number of caches. It cost us £6 to go into the car park, but as it was such a nice day, and there were plenty of caches to go for, we figured it was worth it.
There are 18 caches located in the grounds of the park. We attempted 11 of them, and found 6. It was also really nice to see a family with two young boys also caching in the area, and we teamed up for one of the finds.
