Expedition

Since I visit Nijmegen on a regular basis, this hashpoint was perfect to check out. I took my bike, a 15 minute trip. Unfortunately, I did not check the life of my battery and was running really low. Since the hash was in the woods, i could not afford to spent battery life on road navigation so i already took me 30 minutes to get anywhere close to park my bike. That did not include a frantic search for public wifi to lookup which way i had to go. I sincerely thank the good people of Hotel Restaurant Konbanwa for installing powerful wifi routers that i could connect to from the curb at the entrance of the restaurant. Still, it cost me valuable battery power...

Having finally arrived at the Cenakelkerk to park, I set off on foot. The direct path to the hashpoint was blocked so i had to circle around. Only 6% battery left and since my device is rather old, this could mean instant failure. Would this become my first `no reached, technical difficulties' post? With frantic pace and desperate hopes I moved forward. And yes; eventually i could see the hashpoint. It lies 6 meters behind this `private land, no trespassing' sign. Dammit!
