Expedition
The area around the geohash site has some great hiking trails. It is close to many little towns, but it feels very isolated. The location was quiet, cold and surrounded by tall trees. If I can figure out how to add a picture, you can see that, too. The nearby Schwarzweiher was still frozen over, so we were unable to observe any of the rare type of “swimming beetles” (Schwimmkäfers Graphoderus bilineatus) that make their home in the pond.
