Plans

No plans. We were travelling and decided to check if there's a geohash that won't take us too far from our route. Given that this is Alberta, we were excited to find a hashpoint that wasn't in the middle of a farm. We might have underestimated Alberta.

Expedition

The GPS took us off the highway and onto a range road through beautiful scenery. We weren't sure if we were on private property so we kept going through all these Texas gates. On the way back there were many cows roaming free on the range road, so...

Anyway, We continued. We found a little deer and possibly a fox? Both animals ran away immediately. The road ended pretty far from the hashpoint and there were fences and the first "No trespassing" sign, so we decided to park and try to hike all the way to the hashpoint.

Armed with bear spray and umbrellas (it had started raining), we marched on to the small "valley" between tree-covered hills. A hundred feet later, we decided to turn back. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Maybe next time.
