The weather was fantastically warm for March in Edinburgh. Shane persuaded Kenny to incorporate a trip to the location in to a longer evening ride. At the last minute, Bruce joined the trip too. He was reluctant to divert to the location, but came along away. We weren't able to make it for 4pm, but we weren't much after half-past.

The location wasn't suitable for a picnic - Shane had to wait for a break in the traffic before he could be photographed standing in the exact spot, but did later cycle through it too.

We didn't have any GPS gadgetry, but the position was clear on the poster we'd brought, and fixed to the nearest lamp-post as a marker.
