Plans
At 3pm, while in the last class in my schedule for the day, I just checked the hash of the day and got quite surprised (still able to keep low) to see that the hash is somewhere nearby a commuter train station, which means "in my reach". So I instantly decided to take a train ride to visit the hash right after class.
Expedition
While in the class mentioned before, I realized that there were several problem in my first expedition:
- The class would end some minutes before 4pm
- The sun sets at 6pm
- The ride would take a minimum of 1 hour.
- My phone battery had low charge that it would only last a few minutes.
At 4pm, I departed from my college, Faculty of Computer Science, University of Indonesia. After I arrived at a station nearby, I spent some minutes using a free plug there to charge up my phone before taking a train.
5:30pm, I arrived at Kranji Station. Because of the bad quality of the plug I used before the ride, I used another plug in this station. After 30 minutes and barely enough power to run GPS and mobile data for a good few minutes, I set out to walk to the hash.
At 6:30pm, I arrived in front of a housing row where the hash pointed. Since a stranger wandering about a dense residential area and taking photos (after dark, to add) would raise suspicion comparable to burglary marking (and asking around definitely won't be of any help), I checked around to ensure nobody noticed, took a snapshot of the house and move away to a diner nearby. Also, my phone had no flash light that I couldn't take any selfie by the house, so i just took a photo of the house gate (and its lit terrace).
