Plans

If the weather stays fine (or dry at least), I'll go there by bike after I've been to the market. Will probably arrive to early for a regular saturday-meetup, but can change that, if anyone else announces his (or her) arrival.

Expedition

The ride was quite unspectacular, bur it's autumn and here in palatinate this means there is a lot of food you can find on your way. First stop was between Bellheim and Rülzheim, where a friendly tree offers me an apple. The next stop was in the forest behind Rülzheim. I haven't yet been mushrooming this year, and so I decided to make a short side trip. And just after 200m I found several mushrooms, and a little while later even some, I knew to be edible. A while later I reached Minfeld, and the next stop wasn't for food but for culture. In Minfeld stands one of the oldest palatine churches (almost 1000 years old). And in the nearby cemetery I found several strange artworks. Just some 100 m later I met another friendly tree, which supported me with walnuts.

From here I had to leave the street and enter a path, which brings me up to 70 m to the hash, next to a big field full of corn. I certainly wont fight myself 70 m through that corn and so I wanted to turn around. Just let me see what is at the top of the hill some 30 m further. And indeed the cornfield ended there at a field planted with beets. Maybe I'm lucky and the hash isn't in the corn? So I tried to walk between the two fields and the distance to the hash melted away. Finally it was down to 20 m when it shows directly in the cornfield. Well, 20m seems reasonable... or at least possible. So I started to dive into the corn and it was surprisingly easy to walk between the plants; not really comfortable, but it was possible to pass between any two of them without doing them any harm. It wasn't enough room to do a hashdance, but as I came down to 2 m I didn't have to. Some quick photos and then I returned to my bike.

As I did stop so often it was already half past three and so I waited at my bike until a quarter to four, which for me is close enough to claim a saturday meetup, especially as I didn't expect someone else's appearance.

On my way back to Minfeld I came along some vineyards and nature granted me some grapes to. Nevertheless I got a little bit hungry and so I wanted to visit a cafe in Kandel on my way back, but mother nature was much more friendly to me than culture today, as the cafe was closed. So I just ate some of the salted almonds I took with me and rode on to Wörth, where I took the train home.
