Expedition

For quite some time I had considered a spontaneous daytrip to visit two special locations in the Nahe valley and the Saar region. When I found that the Kaiserslautern hash would be located quite close to the route, and it would be realistic to add that to the schedule, I planned it through and finally booked the bus to Karlsruhe (from where I wanted to continue with a special public transport daypass).

The bus didn't get very far until it hit the first significant traffic jam. Some cars had crashed, and it took us almost an hour to get past the accident site. After the same happened again (with less delay, though) it became clear that the trip had failed before it had even begun. I could still have gone to the hash and one of the two other destinations, but I decided to skip it under these circumstances and try again another time. Since the bus back from Karlsruhe was already booked for the late evening, I chose another destination.
