Sydney
The Sydney graticule lies between -34,151 and -33,152.
Sydney is Australia's largest and oldest city, and is full of interesting places and twisted, hard-to-find streets. It is a rich cultural tapestry with hidden surprises lurking around every corner, waiting to be found.
In other words, it's perfect.
Sydney west
Sydney's vast urban sprawl has led to its occupation of two graticules (well, four really, but seriously, do we count Campbelltown? I think Wollongong can have the south ones). The western graticule lies between -34,150 and -33,151. This area also includes the Blue Mountains which are glorious in their own right. On days when the target falls in the Pacific Ocean, the meet can be officially held in Sydney's western graticule.
Of course the target might also fall on the Blue Mountains which are very pretty. (But note that many locations in the Blue Mountains will be harder to get to than locations out in the Pacific Ocean!)
Interesting fact
Sydney is so far ahead of NYC in terms of time zone that it's accepted to use yesterday's data.

Planned outings
I'm planning to head to the Sydney East one this Sunday. Gormster 00:22, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
The one on Sunday is a great spot, I might be able to make it. --rikkyc 02:02, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
I'll come on Sunday. I guess we'll have to get to the international terminal, then there's a shuttle bus to that car park. I'll wear my Science T-shirt :) --Middlerun 02:35, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

Middlerun 13:40, 21 May 2008 (UTC) - Inner West
Pettymiam 23:57, 21 May 2008 (UTC) - Near CBD
DancingMan 00:15, 22 May 2008 (UTC) - Inner West - Bugger, can't make it this weekend
eu/NEKE 01:16, 22 May 2008 (UTC) - I'm at the northern end of the East Sydney graticule, but only just (I'm in Valentine, on Lake Macquarie). I'd likely only be in for meets near Lake Macquarie, otherwise I'll look at where the Newcastle graticule ends up.
rikkyc 02:00, 22 May 2008 (UTC) - i'm along the coast, a few minutes from the CBD.
Danny 03:36, 22 May 2008 (UTC) - in Glebe. Can't make this afternoon's meetup - too far and clashes with SWF event.
Gnat 17:59, 22 May 2008 (UTC) - near parramatta/Baulkham Hills. Sunday is good.
