Sydney

The Sydney graticule lies between -34,151 and -33,152.

Sydney is Australia's largest and oldest city, and is full of interesting places and twisted, hard-to-find streets. It is a rich cultural tapestry with hidden surprises lurking around every corner, waiting to be found.

In other words, it's perfect.

Sydney Surrounds

Sydney's vast urban sprawl has led to its occupation of two graticules (well, four really, but only just). The western graticule lies between -34,150 and -33,151. This area also includes the Blue Mountains which are glorious in their own right. On days when the target falls in the Pacific Ocean, the meet can be officially held in Sydney's western graticule.

To the south-west, the outlying suburb of Campbelltown is firmly within the Wollongong graticule, and Sutherland is in a graticule directly south that is almost entirely ocean.

Of course the target might also fall on the Blue Mountains which are very pretty. (But note that many locations in the Blue Mountains will be harder to get to than locations out in the Pacific Ocean!)

Not too far from my house, I'll probably go but can't stick around for a meet, I'm supposed to be studying for exams. --Middlerun 14:33, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

Seriously considering Monday's. First time, I think, that Sutherland has made land. That said, I'll need to hook up with someone who has a GPS unit. Also, no rain forecasted for Monday!

So bring a raincoat. -Gormster 12:22, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

Too far away for me, also no GPS here. - Gnat 9:19, 9/6/08
