Sydney
The Sydney graticule lies between -34,151 and -33,152.
Sydney is Australia's largest and oldest city, and is full of interesting places and twisted, hard-to-find streets. It is a rich cultural tapestry with hidden surprises lurking around every corner, waiting to be found.
In other words, it's perfect.
Sydney Surrounds
Sydney's vast urban sprawl has led to its occupation of two graticules (well, four really, but only just). The western graticule lies between -34,150 and -33,151. This area also includes the Blue Mountains which are glorious in their own right. On days when the target falls in the Pacific Ocean, the meet can be officially held in Sydney's western graticule.
To the south-west, the outlying suburb of Campbelltown is firmly within the Wollongong graticule, and Sutherland is in a graticule directly south that is almost entirely ocean.
Of course the target might also fall on the Blue Mountains which are very pretty. (But note that many locations in the Blue Mountains will be harder to get to than locations out in the Pacific Ocean!)

Planned outings

UPDATE - Due to cold weather, and early onset of Winter darkness a number of groups intend to do the hash today at 3pm. Feel free to turn up at 3pm (or 4pm if you like, but you my not run into other geohashers)
- The default location for the Sydney (East) graticule is in the sea, so I suggest we use the Blue Mountains (Sydney West) graticule instead. It appears to be in a paddock with a dam just off Terry Road, Box Hill. [7] This is right near Windsor, which is a really nice area. Who's in? --CJ 04:21, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
- Kinda close to where i live (at least... relative to the other ones lately..). I should be there, bringing one (or two) other friends with me
EDIT: Make that 5 or 6--Gnat 7:25, 05/07/2008
