Location

A defunct railroad track in Gurnee, Illinois. PROTEST!!!

Participants

Yosef PROTESTING on his bike.

Plans

PROTEST!!! The rules won't allow us to continue a hash point for twenty-four hours in the Western Hemisphere.

Yosef decided that since this hash was a reasonable biking distance from his house, he would bike to the hash point the morning after (he had a family event the day before) and dare other users in the Western Hemisphere to do the same. The hash was required to be reached before 8:30 in the morning when the next hash point would be announced in order to be a proper protest.

Expedition

Monday 21 August

I got on my bike at around 6:15 in the morning (the best time for biking), and picked up the Robert McClory trail from Deerfield Road in Highland Park. I rode to Golf Road, Sunset Avenue in the Waukegan/Gurnee area and then turned west for a short three mile ride to the hash point. It was easy to find because it was very close to where the bridge of the train tracks goes over Golf Road.

I successfully arrived at the hash point at around 8:15 making it a successful PROTEST hash.

Achievements

This was a PROTEST expedition to protest the unfairness towards the Western Hemisphere that they do not have valid hashes between midnight and 9:30 ET. The hash point was considered unsuccessful according to standard rules.

More importantly, I had a nice morning bike ride.
