in a huge private garden in Bönningstedt, Schleswig-Holstein

Expedition
I didn't really have time that day because I had an incredibly important exam (for which I'd been studying for over three weeks) on the next. But I expected to make back to the station just in time, so it'd be only 80 minutes total, and went for it in the afternoon, studying on the train. I exited at Bönningstedt and cycled 1.7 km to the hash. It lay on some grass at the edge of the residential area, which on satellite views looked like it could be public. I tried to access the meadow from the street, but there was a big fence and I couldn't really see beyond it except for a large pond. I was standing on a private driveway right next to a house, so I turned back and, giving up on catching the next train, tried to access it from the east.
I cycled south, looking for a passage to the fields, but there was none until there came a large playground after 340 m. I rode to the end of it and made my way onto the first meadow. I noticed the next field was separated by a big water-filled ditch, so I walked further to east to try to find another way. I climbed a small fence and, to my surprise, saw that in the middle of a grove of trees, the canal petered out, only to start again a few metres away. I made my way through the muddy area and onto the next huge meadow, which I crossed diagonally. I came to the border to the lawn on which the hash lay, but noticed that unfortunately, it was fenced in, surrounded by a flooded ditch, private, and being used (as several planted trees showed). This was one giant garden, it measured almost 200 m across!
I gave up, made my way back the 270 m to my bike, and cycled round to the western side of the hash again. I stood at the fence and took some photos, only 7 or 8 m from the hash (which also might've been in the pond), then cycled 2.8 km to Hasloh station, where my train was 8 minutes late. The exam the next day went relatively poorly, but not terribly.
