However, the school turned out to have closed a while ago and the building appeared to be under temporary rental. This is commonly done for buildings that are about to be demolished or thoroughly renovated, in order to prevent them from being vandalised or occupied by squatters. In any case, the fence was open and there were no signs forbidding entry, so we walked to the hashpoint on the playground and took some photos. Afterwards we bought some flowers in a nearby supermarket and went on our visit. | |

Expedition
Kat and I were visiting family in Rotterdam, who happened to live within one kilometre from today's hashpoint. The point was on a school playground with a fence around it, so we were expecting to get a No Trespassing consolation prize. However, the school turned out to have closed a while ago and the building appeared to be under temporary rental. This is commonly done for buildings that are about to be demolished or thoroughly renovated, in order to prevent them from being vandalised or occupied by squatters.
