The Sightseeing achievement can be claimed when you recreate a photograph found on the Wikipedia page of a place close to the geohash. This achievement is designed to encourage geohashers to explore the nearby areas they are taken to and visit things that are considered worth seeing. You do not need to reach the geohash in order to be eligible for this achievement. The photograph must have been on the Wikipedia page before the coordinates were announced, you cannot change the photo on the page to suit your own needs; it must be a recreation, not an original.

This user earned the Sightseeing achievement
by recreating a photograph from the Wikipedia page for {{{wikilink}}}, which is near the ({{{latitude}}}, {{{longitude}}}) geohash, on [[{{{date}}} {{{latitude}}} {{{longitude}}}|{{{date}}}]].

The Sightseeing achievement can be claimed when you recreate a photograph found on the Wikipedia page of a place close to the geohash. A "recreation" attempt involves finding the same viewpoint as the original photo and attempting to include all features of this original photo. Neither the time of day nor the time of year matter for the recreation, but it should be identifiable as having been taken from the same point.

This achievement is designed to encourage geohashers to explore the nearby areas they are taken to and visit things that others may consider worth seeing. You do not need to reach the geohash in order to be eligible for this achievement. The photograph must have been on the Wikipedia page before the coordinates were announced, you cannot change the photo on the page to suit your own needs; it must be a recreation, not an original.

You can use WIWOSM to find Wikipedia pages which may contain photographs nearby to the geohash. It is also possible to use Wikipedia itself via the link format of en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Nearby#/coord/[coordinates], replacing [coordinates] with the coordinates of the geohash (e.g. 55.5122269,-4.4960161).

Proof

You must provide the recreation photograph in your expedition report in order to claim this achievement. You should also link directly to the Wikipedia page containing the photograph you have attempted to recreate. A genuine effort to match the original must have been made, and this should be clear in the photograph presented.
