- I can't miss the chance to do this! Only 430 from home and its close to the road. -- B cereus @53.4769,-113.6484 17:44, 10 November 2011 (EST)
- Only halfway there and I already have a ribbon. Got caught by a speed trap. The officer was quite interested in geohashing and thought I was a fellow "member". I guess I have the cop look even without participating in Movember this year. At least I got a reduced ticket. Yay! No demerits! -- B cereus @53.3159,-110.2613 20:19, 10 November 2011 (EST)
- The second half of the drive was uneventful albeit slower. The last 100 km however, could have been disastrous if I wasn't posting attention to the road. 12 wild horses blocked the road and they didn't budge as I approached whilst honking. In a few minutes they decided it's been taunted long enough and they parted to let me pass. -- B cereus 00:54, 11 November 2011 (EST)
- The hashpoint was up on top of a hill only 100 metres from the road. A nimble ninja roll under a barbed wire fence and 20 minutes of zeroing in on the location with a phone sluggish from the cold I was there! Yay! Fourth successful globalhash ever! -- B cereus 01:01, 11 November 2011 (EST)
- Driving back was also an adventure. As I was walking out of the gas station in Battleford a guy asked if I was going to Edmonton and if he could catch a lift. Sure why not. Jim from Regina and was going to Edmonton in search of work. He had been hitch hiking since early in the morning and had been stuck for four hours at the gas station. He was hungry so I gave him my tim hortons muffin stump, and as a Seinfeld fan, I laughed on the inside. It made the drive much more entertaining than local radio would have been. I dropped him off at a truck stop and made it home at 3:33. Great spontaneous adventure! -- B cereus @53.4708,-113.6387 06:01, 11 November 2011 (EST)
