Today's hash was in a vacant lot in a business park on the outskirts of Tiel. I decided to take the train there and then rent a bike to cover the final stretch. Although Tiel is a medium-sized provincial city, it's pretty inconvenient to reach by public transport: it's located quite far from major cities, and its train station is only serviced by slow local trains. I took the Intercity service from Delft to Rotterdam and from then to Utrecht. In Utrecht I changed onto the local train. When we finally reached Tiel station, all the way at the end of the line, I got off and rented a bike. The business park was just a ten-minute ride away. Once I got close to the point, I found out that the empty lot had since been converted into a truck maintenance yard. Heavy vehicles were driving in and out all the time, and I felt rather uncomfortable even riding my bike on the street. It didn't seem wise to randomly stroll onto the area, so I declared this one a failure and went on my way again.

We've arrived at the business park. It looks very typical, with big, boring buildings and plenty of wide open grass.
Google Maps and Street View showed this to be a grassy field, too. Unfortunately, the truck maintenance company next door expanded its business here.
