To earn this ribbon, you must complete your entire expedition in one hour or less. The entire expedition includes leaving your starting point, reaching the geohash, and then reaching your ending point. The starting and ending point must either be somewhere you intended to go that day regardless of the geohash (such as travelling to meet a friend), or a place of significance to you (your home, workplace, place of education, or other similar location). For example, it would not be considered valid to end your expedition at a nearby café, unless you had intended to go there prior to the coordinates being announced.
The difference between the expedition's start time and end time must be one hour or less, and proof of this is required. You may find it useful to use a GPS tracker for this. The main purpose of geohashing is enjoyment, so reaching the geohash in under an hour should not be a goal for every expedition. Please ensure that you follow speed limit restrictions and do not cause any danger to yourself or others during your race to the geohash.
An honorable mention ribbon is available for those who fail to complete their expedition in an hour or less, but still manage to do so within 90 minutes. This is to motivate you to continue your expedition, even if you believe that you will not complete it in time.
Standard proof of reaching the coordinates is required, alongside a reliable indication of the length of time it took to complete. Ideally, this would either be in the form of photographs of the current times when starting and ending, a GPS track with the length of time taken, or any similar proof.
