Geohashing sounds like a great idea. Now that I have my GPS device I'm waiting for hashes that are easy to reach. Actually, we are two persons: me and my gf. We are waiting for some nearby hashes. We both don't want to waste any fuel to reach the hashes, so we are waiting for those that can be reached by foot/bike/HVV.

• 2010-11-24 53 10 - On a muddy trail in Oststeinbek, alone.

• 2011-03-03 53 10 - On a muddy field between Boberg and Lohbrügge. Coordinations not reached due to a fence that blocked the path.

Bierhefe earned the Bicycle geohash achievement by cycling 8.1 km to the (53, 10) geohash on 2010-11-24.

Yes, I forgot to take a picture of my bike, but once I upload the track it should be proof enough, because I went a lot faster than I could've done by foot alone (also, I'm not crazy enought to walk the whole way) but a lot slower than I could've if I went there by bus. The tracklog is available here. Oh btw, on the way back, I took the bus for a small part of the way.

The tracklog is available here, it clearly shows me riding along the train tracks (or rather, right next to the tracks...).

Bierhefe earned the I walked all this way and all I got was this lousy consolation ribbon? by fighting his way over a muddy field for over 1km just to find out there was a fence blocking his path 150m away from the actual hash point. (53, 10) geohash on 2011-03-03.

I just feel I earned a consolation ribbon today after all the hassle I went through...
