Today I had to go to the eastern part of the country for work, and this hash was nearby(ish). So after I finished work I drove to this forest/nature reserve near Venlo. It was a nice place for a walk on a warm August afternoon. The hash was in a bit of forest where recently a couple of trees had been cut down: lots of fallen trees, bare stumps and tracks made by heavy vehicles. After finding the hash I walked around a bit more, had a few wild blackberries and went on my way again.

Here's a field of wheat that looks a bit neglected. It's full of weeds. Weird...
On the other side of the footpath there's this bit that's completely fenced off, but which contains nothing but weeds. Also a bit weird...
Lots of blackberries throughout the forest, but many aren't ripe yet.

The nature reserve has several of these meres (shallow lakes on heathland). Lots of dragonflies live there.
