Railroad bridge approach, Grand Rapids, MI
Participants
Expedition
This looked like an easy on-the-way-home target, alongside a railroad track just as it approached a bridge over the Grand River in downtown Grand Rapids. The track ran alongside a building used by city utilities to store traffic signals and the like. The hashpoint was about 200 feet from one of my principal routes home from work, and I occasionally have to stop on Front Ave. and wait for a train as it comes off the bridge on the west side of the river.
As I parked a train went by, lending authenticity.
Unfortunately (and predictably), I was stopped by a railroad No Trespassing sign about 50 meters from the hashpoint.
Achievements
George earned the No trespassing consolation prize
