At about 4 pm, in a fit of boredom, I decided to check the hashpoint. It's usually too far away, or in an inaccessible location, so I wasn't expecting much. To my utter amazement, it was walking distance from me! Quickly I scrambled for shoes and a hash-scott to make my journey. My usual hash-scott, Geo, was unavailable, so I grabbed Teriyaki the torchic to accompany me. After reminding me that I am not a fire type and susceptible to the summer sun, we set off.
A short walk led us to the top of the hill leading to Hidden Lakes Trout Farm, which is connected to the Whalon Lake Forest Preserve. Following the hill down, we saw graffiti declaring that Elvis Lives. We cut across the parking lot for the trout farm and crossed the first bridge linking us from the Hidden Lakes Preserve to the Whalon Lake Preserve.
