Once more, the website

Tickets for Saturday only are $25 before August 1st, or $30 at the door. Tickets for the whole weekend are $45 until August 1st, or $50 at the door.--Thomcat 15:54, 23 July 2008 (UTC)

The location is not going to be inside PAX though, is it? Because I'm very excited about the idea of that geohash, and yet I have pretty much zero interest in anything going on inside (Lit. Studies nerd, not gamer nerd... hey, we all have our faults, okay?!), so it would suck to have to pay money just to make it to the geohash. So at least for me, an outside location would be preferable. --Lady Pennywhistle (Nukewaste's girlfriend, who will be visiting him just in time for this 'hash, yay!)

Saturday August 30th Geohash @ PAX

I'd like to make the bold suggestion that we ignore whatever the algorithm says for this date and have it either at the Penny Arcade Expo or near the convention center--I'm assuming at least twenty of you locals are attending. Presumably, hundreds of xkcd readers and geohashers will be there and we can have the biggest meetup ever. -- Leoger

This seems like a safe bet. We can plan to have everyone reroute from the actual location to the convention hall.

We might even have people from other areas, that we could meet up with. I know people from england that have flown in to PAX.

Maybe in the forum or somewhere else, we could post an official invite for the 30th? --Nukewaste 00:52, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

Which forum we talking about here? PAX forum?--Leoger

No, the xkcd one. I'm sure there's a gamer thread or 20. And we could put a note in the meetups area, if anyone still checks there, now that geohashing has taken off.

There's an invite link on the main page. - Robyn.

If the days hash point is nearby, we will break the Largest Geohash record (currently 26).--Thomcat 15:57, 23 July 2008 (UTC)
