The Vernon, British Columbia graticule is located at 50 N, 119 W. Situated in the interior of British Columbia, Canada, the largest city is Vernon with a population of 36,000. There are several smaller cities, towns, and municipalities scattered mostly along the five highways.
Geography
The area is mostly undeveloped and covered by forest and rangeland. It also contains hundreds of lakes, rivers, and streams; farmland, orchards, and vineyards; steppes with cacti, swamps, and permanent snowfields.
