The Hobart graticule lies at -42 degrees latitude, 147 longitude. It encompasses Hobart and immediate surrounds, such as Kingston, Sorell and New Norfolk, and a significant part of the southern midlands, including Oatlands and Ross, as well as Orford and Triabunna on the east coast.
Parts of Hobart are also in the graticule at -43 degrees latitude, 147 longitude. Although mostly water, this area also encompasses the Huon Valley, Bruny Island and Tasman Peninsula.
