I had an appointment in Aschaffenburg anyway and the hashpoint wasn't far from the train station, so I just took a small detour to visit it. It didn't even cost me any additional time, because of the not-so-great train schedule.

I walked from the main station to Auhofstraße, arriving there at 2 pm. I was instantly greeted by a fence, but that didn't surprise me. I continued to the main entrance, only to find a locked gate, consisting of barriers, more fences, and a door that needed a staff ID to pass. I still wasn't disappointed, because I knew of a rear entrance. Next to the compound is a disused train track. I followed it, carefully avoiding thorny plants, only to find the rear entrance closed, too. I could almost believe those guys don't want anybody to enter their property... From the train track I could see the hashpoint, 10 metres away yet unreachable.

No trespassing ribbon earned, I continued on foot and by bus to my appointment.

Total distance on foot: 1.5 + 1.7 = 3.2 km. I have driven through Weichertstraße and Goldbacher Straße (east of the hashpoint) before, because that's the best way to get from the Autobahn into the city.
