About Me

Hi fellow Geohashers! I'm Archmage Cat. Originally I was known online as amc (all lowercase, like xkcd), which doesn't stand for anything. It was backformed into Archmage Cat by a friend while we were playing Dragon Age together, and that nickname stuck.

I'm disabled, which traditionally makes reaching geohashes something of a problem. Fortunately, in this graticule there's pretty good public transport, so there should be ample opportunity for me to reach future urban coordinates.

4pm meetups are far too late in the day for me, so unfortunately you won't see me at any of those. Most of my adventures will start mid-morning and finish just after lunch; if you're interested in getting together, please do bear that in mind! :)

Achievements

Note: I don't really care about "achievements" of this nature; I'll probably miss some I could have claimed, and won't lose any sleep about it. And neither should you. :)

Is it true that amc and myka earned the Land geohash achievement?
In principle, yes.
But the expedition didn't happen on the right day. (2010-10-06 53 -1).

Is it true that amc and tgr earned the Stacking achievement (level 2)?
In principle, yes.
But the expedition didn't happen on the right day. And tgr is a hashscot and therefore sadly ineligible. (2010-10-06 53 -1).

Past Expeditions

Retro Coordinates Reached

  • Retro expedition to 2010-10-06 53 -1 - the date I actually celebrated my last birthday; a week late, due to hospitalisation.

Forthcoming Plans

Possible Retrohashes

Just going back a few months (I don't want to dig for arbitrary dates in the archives just yet!) accessible and meaningful-to-me retrohashes are:

  • 2010-09-10 53 -1 - the date I agreed to meet my then-best Internet "friend" in person for the first time.
