turbomagnus 18:03, 12 February 2011 (EST): Seeing the proximity to a residence on the Peeron map, I took the precaution of printing out the passport just in case. Beyond that, there was little actual planning involved.
Expedition
turbomagnus 18:03, 12 February 2011 (EST): A Saturday meetup attempt... emphasis on attempt. Home base was left a few minutes after three p.m. local with the intent of reaching the coordinates at or around four. While the time limit was a success, arriving at the area of the hashpoint with ten minutes to spare, an obstacle appeared in the way of reaching the actual point itself; A gate with 'keep out' and 'no trespassing' signs and no residents around to make an Ambassador attempt. With no other option, pictures were taken of the GPS showing the distance from the hashpoint, time and rough map, as well as of the 'keep out' sign as proof of presence, though Chibithulu refused to take part. Unfortunately, since the coordinates weren't reached, I don't think this expedition counts towards the XKCD Centurion achievement...
