This graticule is located at 64,30. Today's location

Only about 20% of this graticule is on Finnish soil. The ”no trespassing” border zone is about 2-5 km wide so conquering this graticule from the Finnish side is very challenging. There are plenty of big, carnivorous animals in the wilderness and not very many people so the roads are also challenging and the distances are long. The graticule is named after the mining city of Kostomuksha (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kostomuksha) which is in Russia but was built with Finnish manpower. There is both a highway and a rail road to the city via the border station of Vartius (https://fi.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vartius (only in Finnish and Russian)).
