Plans

On the way back from Camping in Taughannock State Park, attempting this hash isn't too far out of the way and, if successful, would complete my Minesweeper ribbon for Buffalo. It is up it the air though as the satellite pictures show a possible gate into the field(with potential posted signs) and there is no street-view available along this stretch of road. Will probably get to the hash in the early evening depending on if we decide to go on a hike before we leave the state park.

Expedition

Before we left the park, we hiked the rim trail, stopping in the gorge to let the dogs have a drink and cool off. On the way home, both dogs were pretty tired and napped a bit in the car which is unusual. I have a hard time tiring those two out, but a weekend to do just that helps.

On our way, we stopped in Corning, NY for lunch and a pit stop for the dogs. We didn't have any trouble with the directions, however, upon arriving, I found a locked gate and barbed wire around the field. The driveway right next to this one was to a power station, but it also had a locked gate by the road. I guess I'll have to take a no trespassing and try another time to finish the minesweeper.

I did have to stop at one point, back in NY, as a town I was going through didn't have good street signs. Fortunately, I stopped next to the post office so I was able to find where I was on my map and continue in the right direction.

All in all, I had a great weekend with some bonus hashing expeditions.
