Planning

NYC geohash in Central Park! Crox is nearby and will attend, possibly with TT and Elisa...

What is the best time to ensure a meet-up?

I would be happy to meet you guys! Actually quite flexible today because I am working from home. Any time other than the 3:10pm to 4:40pm interval is fine (so ironically, no hash o'clock, but really that's just for Saturday...) I'll also post on the facebook group so they can see you're here too, we in NY do a lot of the hash planning there. -- OtherJack (talk) 14:07, 8 August 2016 (UTC)
I would also be interested in meeting up! I'm at work all day so sometime in the evening would be best, if possible - I should be able to manage any time after 6pm. - Sputnik
Well, I'm going to try to stop on my way home this morning, but I'm up for a meet up later too. 6:30pm work? Elipongo (talk) 15:11, 8 August 2016 (UTC)
6:30pm works for us. --Crox (talk) 16:20, 8 August 2016 (UTC)
6:30pm is good for me too, let's plan on it! -- OtherJack (talk) 16:22, 8 August 2016 (UTC)
Sounds good to me, I'll be there! -- Sputnik

Expedition

Sputnik: A successful expedition and a successful meetup! Sputnik and OtherJack arrived at the pathway nearest the hashpoint at approximately 6:30pm, and Crox, TT, and Elisa arrived shortly thereafter. The hashpoint itself is located between the pathway and the edge of the lake, only a few meters off the path; once everyone had arrived we hopped over the fence to find the hashpoint. Crox, TT, and Elisa are in NYC for just a couple of weeks, so it's wonderful that the random number gods decided to bestow such a convenient hashpoint upon us while they were here! It was great to meet more hashers :D

Sputnik also earned the hobbit achievement by traveling barefoot to the hashpoint, bearing a ring (which, appropriately, bears the writing from the One Ring), and obtaining some greasy french fries and a dirty-water hot dog along the way. Geohashing: promoting healthy eating habits since 2008!
