I had no idea people responded to this. Thomcat, it looks like the bridge north of the hashpoint used to be another crossing for the Jordanians to cross the Jordan River between 1948 and 1967. After 1967 for security reasons, the Israel and Jordan limited crossings between Israel and Jordan. Today there are only three crossings. The Allenby Bridge is the only one within the West Bank territory and it is supposed to be a pretty miserable place because of insanely long lines. Yosef (talk) 03:55, 28 July 2019 (UTC)
