This is a proposal made on 2024-11-19. Please leave comments and suggestions on Talk:Vexillology achievement, indicating your thoughts on the proposal, including:
  • Support - you think this proposal should be added with zero or minor changes
  • Do not oppose - you think it's boring/meh/not for you, but it wouldn't harm to have it created
  • Oppose - you have a specific reason as to why this ribbon should not exist (state this reasoning in your comment)
  • Needs work - you think the achievement should be created after more significant changes have been made

Ribbon with honor = true goes here :D

The Vexillology achievement can be claimed when you spot a flag while at the geohash. The flag does not have to belong to a country, so district/state flags, nautical flags, pride flags, etc. are included. You do not have to identify the flag that you spot, but doing so would generally be a good idea! The flag should be an actual flag, as opposed to an image or drawing of one. If you spot an image/drawing instead of a flag, you can claim the honorable mention ribbon instead.

Proof

As this achievement requires you to reach the coordinates, standard proof should be provided. You should also provide a photograph of the flag you spotted, and ideally refer to it in the expedition report.
