This hashpoint was less than 3 miles from our hotel and had a convenient high school parking lot close by. It appeared to be on a residual plot of former farmland now wooded over. What must have been the original larger farm has been encroached on the east by a housing development and on the west by the high school, leaving the farmhouse and a roughly 2-acre remaining patch. It was clear the housing development had fenced backyards and would not be a useful access. It was likely the plot was also fenced from the high school side, but the attempt was so low-cost it seemed worthwhile stopping by after dinner. We were there at around 10 pm.

Indeed, there was a wire fence at the edge of the high school property, and even if there hadn't been the brush was so thick I probably wouldn't have tried it in the dark. The closest I got was about 60 m. Susanne, recognizing the silliness and/or futility of the exercise, stayed in the car.
