I'd say that this qualifies for the public transport as it's very very hard reaching a hash ONLY by public transport and not walking any part of it. Unless Ekorren knows more about that achievement than I do (which he usually does ;) ... - Mampfred 14:50, 12 October 2011 (EDT)

It's actually rather simple. The basic transport achievements are kind of hierarchical, and actually defined by what you are not allowed to use: walk geohash forbids all wheels, bike geohash forbids all motorized transport (but allows to include everything the walk geohash allows), public transport geohash forbids all motorized individual transport (and allows to include everything the bike geohash allows). So as long as you go a part of the way by public transport, you may still use bikes, kayaks and human-powered planes for the rest. --Ekorren 15:08, 12 October 2011 (EDT)
