This may be a day when planning is more fun than the geohash.

The point is a kilometre or so offshore of the town of Sechelt, on the Sunshine Coast. It's a 30 km trip for me through down to the Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal. I should count on that taking me an hour and a half. I want to be 20 minutes early for the ferry, so round up to two hours. The Langdale Ferry schedule shows departures at 9:20 and 10:00. That means I should leave in half an hour, at 8 a.m. It's a 40 minute crossing to Langdale and then 23 km, largely uphill to Sechelt, so allow 2 hours for that, putting me in Sechelt at 12:40 p.m., trying to rent a kayak. this place is closer to the geohash, but requires experience. I have kayaked before, but I don't know if I meet their specs. These guys are further away but don't mention an experience requirement.

Also the weather isn't all that great.

So is this an academic exercise, or will I really do this?
