Location

In the West Wood, near Calverly

Participants

myka and possibly Fergus

Plans

the plan was to ride out there, and return via pudsey.

Expedition

  • New plan: bus to pudsey to buy a pack, then bus to calverley where i will wander around the west Wood until i find the hash, then bus back home. I almost left Fergus behind. -- mykaDragonBlue [- i have no sig -] 13:42, 3 October 2010 (UTC)
  • One of the benefits of walking places is that you find interesting views and places. Also a horse. I have about 3 hours before i need to get really worried about the last bus. -- mykaDragonBlue [- i have no sig -] @53.8175,-1.6968 16:52, 3 October 2010 (UTC)
  • Less than 100m. I had to find a legal way into the wood, since mostof the roads going in are marked "no access". I think the way i used is ok... It's got paths and everything. Gps accuracy and reception on the phone are low thanks to a the combination of trees and clouds. My other gas is out of batteries. Hope i can locate the point. -- mykaDragonBlue [- i have no sig -] 17:57, 3 October 2010 (UTC)
  • Ack gps accuracy. My location, according to the phone, is maybe accurate within 500m... I'm going to have to call this a fail. Booo -- mykaDragonBlue [- i have no sig -] 18:08, 3 October 2010 (UTC)
  • Can see the main road at the end of this lane. Yep. I just saw my bus go past. Dang. I believe i was actually within a few netters of the hashpoint today, based on the times i did get a steady high accuracy reading, but no proof unfortunately. -- mykaDragonBlue [- i have no sig -] 18:23, 3 October 2010 (UTC)
