M. and Rincewind have arranged a meeting for coffee. Rincewind's plan was to argue M. into going geohashing, because this geohash wasn't far from M.'s home. M. agreed to the idea...- let's go!

Expedition

We drove onto a rural road and then crossed a field towards the hash point. After some hundred meters we saw that it was exactly on the one field that someone was working on with a tractor... Hmmm. Walking on, we thought it wisest to talk to the farmer, and luckily, he stopped at the end of the field when we came to its corner. While he was rather sceptical about whd not mind us walking into tright side of his field, since that was the side he had not brought out the crop onto, yet. After derogatory concluding that this Geo Hashing was "Spielerei" (playing around) in a way only a pure pragmatic can manage to, he accepted our passing into the field on these terms. "Might be stupid but doesn't harm the crop" seemed to be his laconic position to this.

What was really interesting was the hash point itself, which is saying something in the middle of a dry sandy field. The hash point was evidently trampled down by a group(?) of geohashers before us. Since it was in the middle of the field with a rather exact satellite fix, there was no other explanation than... NINJAS!
