Plans

It looks like a good spot to go for a visit if the weather is nice. Since the 'kringloopwinkel' I sometimes visit is around the corner, it may be a deja-vu.

Expedition

It was a cloudy Saturday afternoon with a few drops of rain. I took a picture in my head of the satellite view of the geohash and headed on my bike (without using any batteries) to a small field where the geohash was located.

Like I mentioned in my plan, there is indeed a thrift store I know on the road leading up to the geohash. I expected this to be a deja-vu and when I eventually arrived at the destination, I knew it was a deja-vu for sure. The geohash was located in a flower field near a peculiar house. During my geohashing adventures, I had already photographed this house more than a year ago (see: here).

I arrived at the house at Saturday meetup time, but nobody else showed up. Then I walked into the field and took a picture of me, standing at the geohash. It felt a bit like the scene of a fairy tale. The house looked friendly and colorful and there was happy music playing continuously. I assumed the no-battery achievement was the only achievement I would earn on this one. But wait! When I looked closer at the colorful house, behind some bushes, there was a narrow red cabin. Upon inspection, it resembled a genuine UK Telephone booth! A long story short, the peculiar house turned out to host a small telephony museum.

This of course asked for a phone stuffing achievement, which is pretty unusual in the Netherlands, since none of the phone companies here have public phone booths anymore. But unfortunately no superman and no other geohashers were around. In fact, I just realised I ended up visiting a godforsaken hole (population: 440). So I got the amazing number of 0 geohashers stuffed in the booth.
