This will be a Frozen Geohash attempt. Tonight's temperatures are expected to drop to the low single digits Fahrenheit, if not below zero (between -15 and -20 °C). I'll be aiming to get there between 11PM and midnight, to maximize how cold it will be when I get there. I will have to find a working thermometer; I think I have one but I have to change the batteries to see if it works. It won't get close to the current record (that's the drawback of a global hash in Antarctica :-) ), but -19.6 °C is the current North American record, and there's a good chance that tonight's expedition can break that.

Plans

This will be a Frozen Geohash attempt. Tonight's temperatures are expected to drop to the low single digits Fahrenheit, if not below zero (between -15 and -20 °C). I'll be aiming to get there between 11PM and midnight, to maximize how cold it will be when I get there. I will have to find a working thermometer; I think I have one but I have to change the batteries to see if it works. It won't get close to the current record (that's the drawback of a global hash in Antarctica :-) ), but -19.6 °C is the current North American record, and there's a good chance that tonight's expedition can break that.
