On the way back to Kraków, the low dark-gray clouds covered the sky again and started pouring heavy rain. The wipers could barely push the water off the windscreen. It poured almost all the way to work and I thought about wet little long-tailed critter again, especially that it was a little late already and getting a free parking spot is not easy even if you arrive early. But when I was approaching my destination the rain lessened and stopped almost completely. And you know what? The display at the company parking lot entrance showed a nice green digit ''1''... With a grin, I took the last spot and walked into the office with only a few raindrops on my jacket. It was a lucky day, indeed!

Plans

Late Tuesday evening I have checked the coordinates and... WOW! There's an easy hash point near me in a graticule I haven't visited yet! I am going to try it in the morning before driving to work and score the next level in Minesweeper.

2015-11-18 49-20 Escarpment.png According to Eupeodes' map, the hash lies on an escarpment by the road 94 and there's an access road nearby.

Expedition

As soon as I had dropped my kids near school, I started on my new expedition. I took a well-known short cut through residential areas to avoid traffic jams and hit the motorway bypass towards the Wieliczka junction. It was raining quite hard and I though I may get the Drowned Rat achievement, even if reluctantly. Soon I have exited the motorway onto the 94 road eastbound. There was some traffic near Wieliczka but as soon as I have passed the town both the weather and the road cleared. When I have arrived at the Bodzanów village, it wasn't raining anymore and the sun started to peek through the clouds. I got off the road onto a narrow slippery grassy track up the hill and went as far as the car would climb then got out.

The ground was wet and slippery. I took some photos of The Two Trees and their surroundings, then slipped down the steep grassy patch near the trees down to the road and took a photo from there. That I climbed back up carefully over the stony part and got back to the car. I had to reverse my car carefully downhill to get back on paved road, then negotiate a really narrow underpass to get to the other side of the road.

The display at the company parking lot entrance showed a nice green digit 1... With a grin, I took the last spot and walked into the office with only a few raindrops on my jacket. It was a lucky day, indeed!
